E-mail Marketing

email-marketing

It’s Monday Again!

I want to first use this opportunity to thank you all for the love, greetings and prayers showered on my wife and I on our 9th wedding anniversary last week Thursday, I was completely overwhelmed. Thank You So Much.

Today I want to give you some tips on email marketing/ Newsletter. Email marketing is one of the best ways you can be able to measure your online promotions.

It gives you access to a specific set of people who are actually interested in your product(s)/ Service(s)

However you will need your own personalized mailing list to be able to do your email campaigns effectively.

You can get this done by creating a newsletter opt-in on your website and direct traffic to it through all your social media activities, however you will need to create an electronic product that you will give to those who agree to opt-in to your list.

The product is usually in the form of a video, e-book or audio (Podcast).

Your aim is to get their email addresses, but you need to give them something very useful in order to get this from them.

Once your list has been created, you can either send your newsletters through your website or use one of the service providers who offers such service. MailChimp, TargetHero, Madmimi, Aweber, Listwire are just a few of them.

Now to have a successful email campaign you need to follow the 80/20 rule.

Send useful information or free products to those on your mailing list 80% of the time and don’t sell to them more than 20% of the time you have contact with them.

There is so much to be said, but hey my time is up.

Manual Labour

It’s Monday Again!

“Manual Labour” I remember those days in secondary school when we used to have a whole period for cutting grass, a whole 40 minutes when every student will be on the field or somewhere else in the school compound cutting grass the period was called MANUAL LABOUR and indeed the labour was manual.

A lot of people still do their business Publicity, Promotion, Marketing and even Customer Service Manually in this 21st Century and it amazes me how people can be in the middle of a movement and not sense it.

For every task you do manually when you could have chosen to do it automatically you exert more strength, spend more time and sometimes more money.

For example if you decide to post a letter instead of sending an email, you and I know that you are actually wasting time and money.

When You drive a manual car inside traffic you will wish your car were automatic, the same thing applies when you refuse to use the social media to your advantage as far as your business success is concerned.

If extremely busy and influential individuals and Organizations can use social media effectively to their advantage what is your EXCUSE?

I started a free social media Appraisal for a few business owners over the weekend and the exercise has been mind blowing.

This was what one of them said ” So on point, thanks for this helpful tips, I will surely apply” –Jenny Chisom (Publisher and Blogger)

I am extending this opportunity to 2 more CEOs today, let’s appraise your social media activities and help you get better at it.

Google It

Category : Uncategorized

Just-google-it

It’s Monday Again!

Social Media is about conversations there is no argument about that, but who is leading the dialogue?

It is your responsibility as a business owner to determine who creates the dialogue about your brand.

But before you can determine that, you need to also know that social media is a two way thing, and that is why it is called conversation or communication channel. You need to listen to what people are saying about your brand as an
individual and as an organization.

One of the ways you can find out what people are saying about you is to Google your brand, but before you Google it make sure you have signed out of all your Google related accounts, that way, you will be able to see what the public are saying and seeing about you.

This exercise is important for businesses, individuals, churches, public office holders and Big organizations as well.

Your brand reputation that took you years to build can be lost within an hour if you don’t redirect a bad conversation about you.

Don’t forget, the essence of social media is to share information with each other.

Social Media Tools

top_ten_social_tools_for_chambers

It’s Monday Again!

The Arabs are using social media so effectively that you will think it was initially invented for them.

They started the Arab spring that brought democracy to a number of countries in northern africa and the middle east first on social media before they moved them offline.

Presently, they are using it effectively to migrate to Europe and this year alone over 400,000 of them have crossed over to europe as refugees.

ISIS/ISIL (whichever they call themselves) are using social media so well in sending fear to the world and recruiting gullible muslims from the west.

Boko Haram has used this same social media to insinuate that they were more powerful than the military until recently when they are being matched by the Defense Headquarters.

How well are you using social media to promote what you believe?

Here are a few tools you can use to increase your effectiveness on social media.

tweepsmap.com: To view the geographical distribution of your followers on twitter.

Tweetreach.com: To measure the reach of a particular Hashtag or Keyword.

12stasocial.com: To manage followers and Unfollowers, automatic DM, Auto mention etc.

Crowdfireapp.com: manage followers, unfollowers, fans, mutual follows etc.

TweetDeck: Allows you to tweet from multiply accounts at the same time. It allows you to also schedule tweets.

Hootsuite.com: allows you to manage several social media accounts facebook, twiiter, google and instagram. Also allows you to schedule and manage posts.

Unfollowers.com: manage followers, unfollowers, fans, mutual follows etc.

manageflitter.com: manage followers, unfollowers, fans, mutual follows etc.

Social media is a tool for effectiveness, make the most of it.

You Are A Brand!

brantit_image1

It’s Monday Again!

Over the weekend I spoke at an empowerment event in Lagos about the brand you both offline and online.

It is very important for us to understand

  1. What comes to people’s mind when our name shows on people’s Whatsapp, BBM, Timeline, News Feed or Stream is the true representation of who we are to them.
  2. Whatever You Do On Social Media Will Determine How People See You.
  3. Your online activities are adding to your Brand either positively or negativel

Social media is fast becoming a corporate tool for effectiveness all over the world.

_DSC9497

Mobile network companies in Nigeria now use internet connectivity as their major advert criteria.

Banks are now making the use of social media for account opening.

By year 2025 about 75% of jobs will become obsolete in Nigeria due to job automation.

Prepare yourself ahead of the crowd and position yourself for the future of work.

Advertising works most effectively when it’s in line with what people are already trying to do. And people are trying to communicate in a certain way on Facebook – they share information with their friends, they learn about what their friends are doing – so there’s really a whole new opportunity for a new type of advertising model within that. -Mark Zuckerberg
