Goals!

Goal

It’s Monday Again!

Today is the last Monday in the first half of 2015; definitely we are already half way into the year. This half ends tomorrow and the other half begins.

Now, how much of your goals for this year have you been able to achieve by now?

Do you still feel the enthusiasm you felt while setting the goal as you were preparing to enter this year?

Are your goals Potent?

Are you inspired by your goals?

If you cannot answer any of the above questions in the affirmative, then there is a big problem.

You need to go back to the drawing board and re-strategize for this second half, there is still much more that you can get done in the remaining 6 months of the year.

As soon as we enter into the second half of  2015, I will become a year older, and as a result of this I am offering FREE social media  advisory for 5 business owners for the whole of  this week as a way of saying thank you to God  for spearing my life and making me relevant.

These advisory sessions will take place Via BBM (no physical session) and it is on a first come first served basis.

As you go through this week keep this on your mind.

“PEOPLE ARE NOT LAZY, THEY SIMPLY HAVE IMPOTENT GOALS. THAT IS, GOALS THAT DO NOT INSPIRE THEM.  – ANTHONY ROBBINS.

Fathers Day

It’s Monday Again!

Yesterday the 21st of June, Fathers Day was celebrated in various parts of the world and I want to use this medium to celebrate all the people who have decided to stand up and be counted as fathers worthy of emulation the world over.

Also I will like to celebrate those women, who have stood up to fill the void created by absentee dads all over the world, they are truly Heroines.

I was privileged to speak at the ICT mini conference of the Rotary Club of Ibadan (Ring Road Chapter) yesterday afternoon on the topic “Exploring Social Media for Business Success”

Towards the end of my address I spoke about the 3 Major fundamentals of Social Media Marketing and I will like to mention them here for your benefit too.

The First is the ability to define and plan a strategy.

The second is the ability to execute that strategy

The third and last is the ability to measure and improve on the success of the strategy and execution.

The truth is it is a cycle, once you measure and improve the cycle begins again.

Remember, Social media is any Online Technology or Practice That People Use to Share (Content, Opinions, Insights, Experiences, Perspectives and Media).

Failure

It’s Monday Again!

Everybody experiences a down moment at one point or the other in life, but what separates men at the end of the day is how each individual deals with his down moment.

There is no way you will go through this life without experiencing a down moment, for those who does not dare and who are afraid of losing, their down moments may not be more frequent like that of those who does not accept the norm, those who are always striving to stand out and stand tall.

For those who dares to be different and refuses just to be a number in the crowd, they are usually faced with what an average person will call disappointments, but in actual fact we call them lessons of life.

They see firsthand how a certain project cannot work; hence learn how it will work in the process.

How you deal with your down moments in life is a key factor in determining how far you will go in life.

Failure is not falling down or failing to achieve a particular goal, it is refusing to stand up after a great fall or refusing to try again after failing.

Instead of sitting down there and complaining about that failing moment, dust yourself up and try again.

Failing along the way to succeed makes the story even sweeter at the end of the day.

Days!

Time-clock-Photo

It’s Monday Again!

It’s the first Monday in the month of June, now we have entered the last 30 days of the first half of the year 2015.

Yes, it seems everything is moving at a very fast pace, but seriously the year is not moving at any faster rate than usual, because every single day we’ve had has had 24 hours as every other day we’ve spent since we got to this earth.

Now what makes our days to look like they are running faster than usual?

If you are having enough purpose driven activities on a daily basis the days will look too short for you, because you will feel you are achieving less results than you should achieve daily.

If you owe people and the fund to service your debt is not coming as expected you may begin to feel that the days should be extended further than 24 hours as the deadline for re-payment of your debts arrives.

If you are in a place or on a project that you enjoy so much, and it seems the day to leave that place or to complete the project is coming to an end you may be feeling like the days are running too fast.

Finally if you are not getting the expected results or you are not achieving your goals for the year as earlier planned, you may be seeing the days moving faster than usual.

All said, when you think or feel the days are moving faster than usual, check yourself, check your activities and if there is need for adjustments in any area of your life, don’t wait till it is convenient to do it. DO IT NOW.
